Just decided the other day that im going to the nurburgring, So obviously i need a car to go in, and that car needs some poke to thrash it round the track.
When i decided this id just sold my Mk4 astra estate, n had some cash in my pocket, so instead of buyin another car, i thought id use one of my novas! one is at the minuite in the body shop (its got its own WIP) but i dont want to drive it the 1500 miles ish that were gonna be driving there and back plus other places in a freshly painted car!
So ive decided to pull out the Mk1 thats currently being used as a shed! i bought it 2 yr ago from the auctions for £205 with 2 months test n no tax. It was/is a 1.0 base model D reg in a flat brown/burgandy colour. (pics will follow this weekend) it needs a front crossmember a little bit at the bottom of the drivers arch and a battery tray and the rest of the car is solid!
I stripped it fully a few days after i bought it with all the good intentions (as usual) of gettin it fully painted inside and out in white, but after 2 years nothins changed.
So this is the base of my plans,
Fit the 3.0 V6 engine that i was going to put in the astra,
fit the roll cage i already have, it was powder coated 3 yr ago!
get some bucket seats n harnesses n fit them.
cut my dash in half n fit,
Fit all the car loom, and vectra engine loom,
it need all brake line and fuel lines!
fit V6 front brakes, leave rears for now, i do have a rear disk setup but im short on time!!!
and then polish the fu^k out of the crappy colour, n probaby cover it in stickers for the hell of it!!
Thats enough of the story for now, ill post pics saturday or sunday of how it is now! you are gonna laugh and call me mad probably. n u might say it wont happen!
