How can i change the NAT settings on my xbox? its coming up as strict at the minute and takes ages to get a game on xbox live. Had a look through the menus/options but can't find anything of use, and i don't want to start changing settings on pc ( if thats what i need to do??) without a bit of guidance.

you cant mate its usually rubbish conection from the router so the xbox will only allow you to find the best game possible to aviod lag sometime resetting the router fixes this but other than that not sure

Is that the Network Address Translation? That can/should be set from your router mate.

That would make sense as I'm running it wireless. Although I haven't changed anything and it worked perfectly up til now

you want to do what i do, buy a 20 metre ethernet cable and run it directly from the router/modem to the 360:thumb:

errrrrrrr
CAT5 is good for 100M continual runs.

Lunatic, worst case you could try the mains networking stuff, its fairly cheap for 2 adaptors now

the simple solution would be to connect straight to the modem then lol

before i got my cable i used to route it through the PC and use the pc's wireless card, the nat settings were different everytime i fired it up lol
