Theres like 8 S1s in the whole of Ireland. The Book value on the S2 in Mint condition is €6250!! which leaves the VRT at a whopping €2200 which works out around £2000!
I'm having trouble getting Pics sorted to be patient but its of a very decent spec and nice condition.

+rep for buying a quality car is she a 90 spec or 88? i had the 90 spec in white but broke it for spares for my seriesw one,get ready to get plastered with comments when driving it,i used to get stuff like

Grunt, I'll put that theory to the test. LSD standard and this seems to have a paddle clutch which is a **** to get used to. lol
David, they're uber rare round here and in fact always have been. I had a few years ago (8-10yrs!!) and always loved them so its time I had another.

the airtec twin pass ones are pretty good value think i gave 260 new with twin fans for it though im running a pro alloy on the s1 just spoke to pro alloy to send me a bracket i was missing for it always get a good service from them too,auto specialists are the ones to speak to for a cooler cheaply,
ive always preferred the 90 spec bumper and spoilers to be fair i also hated the bonnet i had fitted but never got round to changing it,
with a chip a -31 actuator a filter and exhaust will see you around 170bhp
then a front mount running a bar of boost should see you around 190bhp,
i efi converted mine on fez turbo ofab system with custom mapped chip etc and saw 210bhp at wheels heres the vid

My brother has had 4 different turbos, the 3rd one was a beast, 1600 running a hybrid t3 with achmed bajoo management full magnex etc it was said to have 240 bhp and it certainly felt like it. His last was a C reg S1 custom so he ended on a high. He's now a family man with a TD mondeo lol

id say 170 is reliable as when i was running 210 i had issues with the intake temperatures too high:thumb:

funnily enough yes and my mate was at scarborough he has a golf anniversary tdi in silver rang me to tell me he saw it riding around with a mk2 cav calibre:thumb: 650 took it couldnt shift it though would like it back now:(
In my opinion this is about the last of the Fords I like, a bit like the Nova they can be uber win or uber fail, Fiesta XR2's are nice also and seem to be getting very thin on the ground.

Oh and I knocked the exhaust off putting it into the Garage. lol
This is the class of car you get as a p/x for a Nova. lol

usually worn gear linkage on passionford or seriesoneturbo.com theres a guide how to refurbish them,
they always have a bit of lag till the turbo all mine have,does the lsd still work you test by jacking up and turn one wheel in gear and the other should turn with it,non lsd turn opposites,
and yes the exhausts fit crap i usually scrape mine as they hang low:cool:

seriesoneturbo.co.uk a lot of friendly people and some good tuners and rs turbo specialists even though its a s2,
a few lads have series 2s its basically what the png is to the mig passionford is far too busy for my liking but seriesoneturbo is by far the best mate:thumb:

also check the front suspension and crossmember as these can also rip themselves apart.
I'm on RS Turbo Mania but it seems quiet. I need to get in touch with a few of the Irish lads to get a bit more back up as I'd love to have this as part of my "Wedding Collection" so far consisting of my V6 Cav (3.2l Baby!) my Rat as fook Corsa sleeper, various GSi Cavs and my 2 E39 BMWs.

Bazil, the cross member is A1 so I'm puttig it down to a mount. Its all polybushed so its a safe bet that one of the mounts has taken a kicking because of that.
E39s are the shizzle, a whole lot of car for the cash.

looks good are the battery tray rear chasis rails and the sunroof rust free? what nova did you trade this for?:thumb:
It actually sounds pretty mild considering the system size. Its got a chirping dump valve as opposed to the slashed tyre type one you usually get. The significance of either escape me.
RSTs in Ireland could be counted below 20 or so I'd imagine and considering (NI Aside) theres only 26 counties in the Republic, thats saying something about rarity.
Small amount of Roof bubbling, Battrey tray is surprisingly 100% as the rear chassis although there is a small festering bubble appearing in the boot floor but theres nothing obvious under it.

well apart from the wheels back to standard i wouldnt change a thing except add some front spotlamps back on there as it looks lost without them and im pretty oem on fords id have the ambers back on for the standard look but hey its your car
Na, the wheels and 89 bumper and thats me. They're **** hot like that. If I can find another RS Wheel, I'll have 2 sets, one of which will go black as they look nuts on them.
