C14SE Manifold

Hello

I have a Nova SRi with C14SE Motor and i would like to install an 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, does anybody knows if this ones from Corsa B with the same motor can be installed on my car?

i don't see that it will be any better than a sri one..... the 4:1 manifold is meant to be the one to go for.. they are always on eBay

hello

from what i've learned the 4-2-1 manifolds give torque at lower revs and 4-1 manifolds give power at higher revs, what i want is more torque in lower revs. The standard SRi manifold is a little restricted i think because it goes from 4 to 2 very soon.

As above, but if you get it bolted up the angle of the exhaust will be either pointing at the floor and right up on the floor pan - can't remember which around it is.

No, not necessarily. Lots of aftermarket exhausts differ, primary lengths, 4-1, 4-2 all offer different things in terms of peak torque, peak HP and also the torque band.

Either find one for your engine or get somewhere to custom make one for you. I would suggest buying one for your engine - if you're thinking of buying cheaply through ebay I guess you're not bothered about system design and whether it's any good.

I fitted a c14se from a Corsa to my nova and tried to use the Corsa downpipe but it angled towards the floor so needed chopping or welding or use a nova pipe if it bolts on mine was a 1.0 so exhaust was miles off
