Can't we get classic car insurance for are novas as it's older than 15, or don't we coz we have big engines under the bonnet just a thought 700 quid a month seems to steap to me for the amount of miles I do

You can get classic insurance on Nova's, I have, RH Insurance, but mine's a baby.

Would think you can get cover for a bigger engine/mods, but will have to search

Guys, classic policies are not really so much down to the actual vehicle as such, usually they are restricted mileage polcies for cars with no mods or limited mods, car must be a second car, kept in garage, you wont earn any NCB etc etc.. great for your old man's classic MG, not so good for your modified Nova (obviously there are exceptions to the rules)

Comprehensive insurance cost less than £100 as classic car - but only 1500 mile limit on 1.4SR (not modified) :)

just spoke to adrain flux quoted £1500 with 1500 limited miles and the fact i have full use of works van and another car insured so effectivly its my 3rd car. i'm only 19 but reckon thats abit steap. its £500 more then i pay for the rally car with everything declared and insured to do road rallys etc

My heavily modified mk1 MR2 turbo is on a classic policy with Flux. Everything declared (280ish bhp) and agreed value only costs me £270 fully comp.

How the hell have you managed that on a Manchester postcode? I'm on just short of £600 for an XE Nova, OL postcode, 30 years old, 1 years NCB (11+ years on my daily). Best I could do.

With regard to the OP, you have an M postcode so you're pretty much boned as far as I'm concerned.

I'm in OL as well. Nova turbo costs me a lot more though, £580 fully comp. I'm 28.

Sky, and if they couldn't help, Adrian Flux would be my first ports of call.

Sky won't insure your postcode so try Flux.
