In all fairness, if I wasnt sure if they would be on forever, I certainly wouldnt pepper my sills in holes.

holes in sills = rot so i would stick them on properly.

Usually the clips were drilled/clipped in. If your not wanting to do this then sikaflex or tigerseal is your only option or you could just sell them ;)

gaffa tape. i see this on so many cars, has so many uses, covering up rust, holding on bumpers repairs snapped wing mirrors, ive seen all this done, and when done right, is hardly noticeable. lol

Drill hole & blind pop rivets, slide clip over rivet, you could paint the holes after you drill holes,The pop rivets are about 25p each fom vauxhall
