i got involved with a load of them.... i passed them all too... all going really slowly up towards towcester with their super low cars with their super cool wheels, with car lingerie fitted.... all petrified of doing more than 30mph incase they broke down.... then i had a bit of a laugh with a caddy pickup running at the right height up the a5....

It was always the same, when I used to be into my dubs it was a nightmare driving home from the international show because they would just pootle along up the dual carriageway at walking pace, and look at you in discust if you were doing 60 mph.

Most of the people in the watercooled dub scene are completely stuffed up their own backsides, which is odd considering the people in the aircooled scene are properly sound. All we have to deal with are 17 year old chavs, and id rather that than walk round a show and try to chat to an owner who looks at you like you're a piece of poo on his 400 quid trainers lol

i actually get really annoyed at people ruining perfectly good mk1 golfs, i don't mind seeing a lot of their other products getting mangled...

but the bus thing is annoying. my mate has a long term loan of a camper, it is a 1600 auto. it has been royally bodged up by a local vee dub man.. i rewired the engine bay for safety when we went camping last year... my mate doesn't own it, his neighbour got sent abroad with work.. but he gets approached by other owners, and they get all upset when he just says he's not into them. and to be honest, it is fairly crap.

Ive been to many vw shows (air cooled) and never had any probs.Its just the new age dubbers that have got it all wrong like Lee said.
Then again we do turn up in this.
