x16xe engine management issues.

hi,
i have a 1.6 corsa sport, and the egr valve has been removed, and the plug is just left floating in the engine bay, the car has a 4 to 1 manifold on it aswell.

right the problem is the engine management light is always on, and it runs fine.
but sometimes the engine management light goes off and then this is when the problems start, the car jerks around loads at part and no throttle and once it has died, but started straight away.....

would this just be the valve or something more sinister lol

yeh the speedo works fine, im pretty sure its the egr.

As i said, the EGR needs to be plugged in, but you can blank it off.

TBH tho, you dont know until you find out exactly what the previous idiot has done.

have you fitted the speed sensor????? as the ecu picks up a signal off the box, old nova 1.4 sr uses these. they have 3 wires a red/blue a brown and a black. aslo plug the EGR in

You say the eml is on? read the fault codes and then get back to us.
