Right im not sure how to work out the compression ratio of my engine, Ive had a compression test done and all cylinders are equal at 175 psi, so how can you work out the compression ratio of the engine from that test?
Scott
you cant
you will get a vauge figure if you do compresison test /1bar (in psi)
but thats the dynamic CR of the engine based on engine speed, air temp, air humidity, cam profile, cam timing, engine temperature, throttle position etc.
the static CR quoted for engine builds etc requires proper measurement lol
you cant but in one of the articles i think it tells you
too late, thought it was one of stuarts articles aswell.
its in the 1.4 tuning guide.
Perhaps is need extracting into its own

you wont be able todo it with the engine in one piece! it'll probsably be around the mid 10's as its a std xe, gasket etc 10.5:1 maybe!!!
but as said you need to cc the head, pistons etc and you cannot do that with it in one piece
