tired engine

My 1.2i is feeling a little tired and a little noisy! now I know your all going to tell me to get a bigger engine but I wanna give the car to my bro when he passes his test next year! So to keep the insurance down i wanna keep the engine etc!
Can anyone suggest any relivent work i can have done to my block as it stands now with 75k on it and rough costs?
