Steering boss question

quick n00b question

That plastic thing at the back of the boss that knocks the indicator off when you turn... at what position should it be when the wheels are straight?

basically if you still have your original wheel, use it as a guide

But the little metal thing that comes out when you indicate comes out at 9 o'clock so wouldn't that just hit the plastic bit of the boss? I'll will give it a try anyway.

Some crappy bosses I've seen have the hole for the notch too far out for it to fit, others seeming expect you to cut this off and rely on interference fit when everything is done up to turn the plastic.
