View Full Version : X20xev Wiring
How Would I Wire Up An X20xev Into A Nova Not Sure How To Go About The Wiring Because Of The Standard Immobiliser And The Wiring For Transponder, The Wiring I Took From The Vectra Was Wired Into The Clocks And Indicator Stalks As Well. Ive Done A Few 8v And Redtops But Never Anything Immobilised
You got the imobliser pickup from around the barrel, and the chip out the key?
If not, your need a matching set inc the ECU, from the same car.
But its the same as a smallblock xe, so get the plug for the pickup, and then its a case of VSS into the imobliser pickup, then to the ECU, couple of lives, earth, and one for the EML.
Think that is all.
Hi there does anyone have the wiring diagram for this
^ wouldnt waste your time there ****e engines imo

to be fair, Nailen has done exactly the right thing. Had a question, searched and then asked on the forum albeit from a 2010 thread.
more respect than a lot of mongs who come on here and ask a question thats been asked a million times before, just because its easier to ask than to search!
kudos!
I had been searching for ages lol the reason I asked is cause I got a cheap car mote and taxed and had the x20xev lying there from a previous conversion.

And what evidence do you have to back this up then?
i have one in my vectra........ im not someone who just follows the internet sheep slagging off things that everyone else does.
does the x20xev come in any particular model specific wiring specs?? as in the vectra was running canbus etc.. was the astra the same?
the correct haynes book should be enough
