i got thiss problem. my nova 1.2 keeps making thiss rubbing noise when i pull away or take my foot off the clutch. does this mean the clutch is gone or the gear box. also the drive shaft on the drivers side is rubbing on the body ( the hole where the driveshaft goes through.

can anyone help!!!!

My money says :-
1) Wheel bearing, or
2) Clutch plate thrust bearing.

first problem is more than likely the clutch release bearing. not a big issue. only need to replace it when you replace the clutch (sincs the clutch needs dropping out to get at it). or when you get 100% pissed off with the noise.

as for the drive shaft touching the chassis. er suspension mount not done upo/loose??

chassis / subframe could be bent, twised etc? to cause the rubbing driveshaft - get that checked immidtaley its dodgy
