My friends 2.0 8v Nova has a Magnex stainless system on it, has a "note" but it isn't overly loud.

Don't get an ashley competition system whatever you do...
Had one on my nova and allthough the sound is nice they don't shut up even at top speed.

You allways at MACCIE D'Z now riggy lol?

Jetex used to be one of the quietest Sports exhausts and they used to do one for a Nova. If you can still get hold of one they maybe the best bet.
Magnex sound mint but I am sure they went bust.

If it's any help, my bro on his X20XEV has standard manifold, and full sportex system with a 4x3 oval pipe.

It's only a tad deeper than the standard system but more or less the same loudness. Real nice.

Magnex seems to be the one that stands out in this thread! Is it true you can get the baffle in the exhaust changed/moved to set the sound how you want it? I was told mini sport in pediham (were the north west rr day was held) can do it!..

I had a mongoose full s/s system from the manifold back on my gsi, iirc it has 2 centre boxes and the back box has a nice 3" rolled in tailpiece, sounded very nice but not loud,
