its pretty good, but there is a bloke from Ernest Doe ltd that get 360's to crazy angles on soil heaps, his demonstrations at the SED show are excellent

i would just like to point out that anyone on a building site would expect a roasting off the gaffer & possibly the sack for anything approaching this stunt.... but it is clever

health and saftey would send you to jail for life if you tried that here lol
thing is, when watching it I was amazed at the strenght of the tower aswell, mainly the point where the quickhitch locks on, that gota have some amount of stress at that point, and fair play to the presenter standing under it, tho he did move away fairly swiftly.

bazil, i can assure you that the counterweight is a fake on that.... our big 360 has a 4t concrete filled weight... they will have stripped everything they could off that, and used grp & plastic for everything else.

jcb are masters at publicity stunts & the work they put into lightening their jcbgt etc, it amazing

Yeah I know that but even so it's still a bloody good advert, I've also seen a video of the jcb 3cx display and it's also very impressive, iirc Volvo do a display aswell,

this is how NOT to do tricks! It's 2 years old now but alot of people have copied it now ( see related videos )
DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME IF YOU HAVE A DIGGER!!

dunnit on a 15 tonner, i was about 30' in the air. the driver thought it was funny after we had shifted a 20' shipping container & i was up top taking the chains off. he nicked the ladder & says 'just stand in the loop'.... it was quite good fun though......

BUT we also had an idiot on a 5 tonner who was obsessed with spinning it round really quick with a full bucket.... he stopped suddenly, flipped it on its side, fell onto a pile cap & steel re-bars came thru the side window, missing his head by mm's, he got sacked for that.

the video certainly looks impressive at first, but nothing special imo. its a very easy stunt he is doing with that particular machine.

Given that machine i could do that easily enough, the key part of the machine design is the hydraulic hooks between the tracks/cab area. Once they are located the machine is fully stable to release the pins on the clamp above and reposition/ repeat

Looks fairly good but as said im by dan Any confident 360 driver could have a bash at it in that machine. Or at least I would be prepared to!
