They wont fit with a big block, or a 16v I dont think.
Theyre for the gte/gsi.

What about with lowering blocks? Still wont fit a xe?

it sits under the gearbox & exhaust.......
I've got one of those, didn't clear my massive exhaust lol
My dad is copying it though with a slightly deeper angle or enlarged brackets
This is how it fits, pic courtesy of Mike:

i've never properly worked out what good they actually do.... were they a Grp A rally type thing? where ground clearance isn't so tight

Where a fr strut brace (upper) braces the tops of the turrets against flexing, that (lower) brace does the same for the inner TCA mounts...
I've never really seen many fitted to Novas, but they are common on other stuff incl Astra GTE's (1st time I've seen one). The grp-A, works Novas had a pretty stiff sump guard to do the same thing instead.
now creating an undertray/lower brace would definitely beef things up & if done right, help make the car faster by creating front end downforce... i did also once read about fitting a sort of upside down gurney flap in a v shape just in front of the rear wheels had a dramatic effect on rear downforce...
