hi everone, got my next project now, its a black sri rolling shell.

want to make a budget build track car but need some inspiration so could you show me ya track cars, pics of inside and out and engine bays.

a quick spec list would be nice ( suspension,engine,tyres etc )

C20XE Accralite pistons, Velos head, Piper cams, QED TB's DTA management
256mm Courtenay discs, Pagid pads
Avo GTZ coilovers all round
OMP cage
Fully seam welded

here's mine that started off as a wide arch bare shell and i nursed it back to health.

the pics now tell lies but new basic spec is...

engine... 2.0 16v on throttle bodies
trans.... quaife sccr box with 90% gripper diff and 3.9 f/d
tyres... 225/45/15 rally inters
shell.... fibreglass bonnet boot arches, poly carb windows and bits of metal hacked away
Susp.. coilovers, adjustable top mounts blah blah

And lots more but the rest tells its own story :thumb:

Cheers but i'd hardly class mine as a track slag, not yet anyway. It hardly gets out of the garage, let alone on track lol At the moment it only really looks the part. I need to soften my suspension before i can drive it like its meant :roll:

standard xe engine
eccentric top mounts and gte/gsi top plates
spax coil overs with 350lb springs
spax rear coilovers with strengthen turret tops

double peddle box with internal lines
rear disk conversion with strengthen suspension brackets (coilovers)
bias valve attached to hydrolic hand brake
256 ate's calipers

pilbeam roll cage with 6m additional bars added.
flocked dash
stripped out and sound deadening removed

loads more but cant remember all of it.

I loved my 1.6 8v. I am even thinking of ditching the valver and putting it back in and maybe add some webbers.

For track use i would keep it small block imo.
