View Full Version : 20Xe Air Flow Meter Adjustment Screw
Was talking to a lad t'other night who informed me the previous owner of my engine has faffed with the adjustment screw on the AFM previously.
Just wanted to know if this would be linked to it being hesitant and popping at low revs, soon as its floored its fine, ticks over at 1500rpm occasionaly aswell.
So just wondering if that would cause those problems and if i can put it back to where it should be? or is it a case of a new AFM?
Any help/advice is always appreciated:thumb:

that screw adjust the electrical resistance in the air flow metre ! some have a screw and some dont !
Yes the tamper cover has been removed.no idea which way its been turned.rickardo,is that for a dizzy xe or coilpack or are they the same? If it will work on mine (dizzy) pm me how much please.
In about what position should it be grant?
dizzy is different to dispak. andy, you need gas testing equip, then turn the screw. it needs setting in the right range. i have the xe manual at home will post tonight mate.
Would that being in the wrong position cause the problems im describing?
possibly, i its been adjusted massively it will be telling the ecu there iant any air going on, so it dumps loads of fuel in. :thumb:
