Thinking about putting a different dashboard in the nova to make it different, like one out of a cavalier or something else i dont know yet.
Has anybody swapped the dashboard in a nova before ? other than just swapping mk1 and mk2 dashes..

Corsa B has been done a few times...

I dont know i havent measured anything yet.
Any pics Vaugh ? i wouldnt put a corsa B one in but it'd be interesting to see.
I was thinking an Astra GTE one would be good also.

Get any Mk2 Astra dash then bung the Digidash in it then you have a GTE dash lol I think...?

mk2 Astra dash is rather large IMO.

That one with the 2 Digi's is crazy.
I think an Astra GTE dash would be very good, but ill have to get some measurements, i might/Propably lol have to do some cutting etc..
Anybody know where i can get measurements of one ? theres none in the scrappies round here.

Yes it does indeedy, and the second set of digi clocks is cool as he took me for a blast in it on friday and you can see exactly whats going on and indeed, just how slow you arent going lol
Mk2 Astra dash is very square and not much better that a mk1 nova dash in my opinion!
Corsa dash is not as nice as a Mk2 Nova
Butt Mk3 Astra dash are nice and I have seen one fitted before ! will require lots of effort, cutting/wiring etc but would be nice and different atleast!

I have a Mk2 Astra GTE and a Nova, i know anything is possible if you are determined but the astra seems massive after driving the nova the dash is deeper and wider, you'd have to chop loads out. I think if you were going down that road the guy who mentioned "Ford KA" may be on to something why does it have to be vauxhall!?
I suggested that because people can squeeze them into Mini's witha lot of chopping about. Not the nicest dash in the world, but it show's what is possible.
i'd also flock it after the butchering. It will cover all. lol :)
Mk 1 dash is where it's at.
The PROPER Nova dash, Astra gte dash would be way too deep to fit a nova.

Erm, why? Just flock the stock dash.
But, move the stereo to the glovebox, and put guages in the space, white faced are 80's, along with lockwood white faced dials.

Agreed! conversions never look factory they just look butchered, the Mk2 GSI dash is sweet but shame about the poo switches that which arnt very durable to say the least. lol

A Dash out of a porsche or ferrari or something would be more down my road, but feck that.
Ive got a MK1 Dash and modified it to fit digital clocks, was just going to paint it anthracite like the colour of my bumpers and bottom half of the car, but to build a nova to be recognized and completely different i need a different dash, and not just another black GSi swap.
Gonna keep my eyes out round the scrappies.
basically, any dash will fit.... getting the blower vents & controls to fit, & the steering column hole right is much more of a challenge.
Steering column would almost defiantly need adjusting, improve the position of it too.

dashes are not really that important in the grand scheme of things...and after seeing the headrests, i'd imagine you'd make it look like a camels fanny

Why not just modify the current dash? Look at Benns WIP. He has made some great mods IMO. Corsa dash is probably the only one that will fit with minimum work.
corsa b dash needs a few small mods (the steering colomn and where it meets the windscreen)
any other dash is way to big.

I looked at Benns and its great thats what gave me the idea that i need to step my game up.
Cos i was going to put a Black GSi dash and do a few bits and pieces to it, but it'd just be like Benns.
So Instead of modding a nova dash, just replace it with a better one then mod that.
Ill have a rake about the scrappy this weekend with my tape measure and see what i can find.
