Cut a section off your bonnet stay and hammer it down. Works a treat fella!!

I used bonnet stay on one of my doors then an angle grinder on the other and had to use a thin cutting disc to remove the hinges because the pins had embedded themselves in the hinge!

When replacing get oversized pins (cavvy ones) - these protrude above the hinges slightly making it so much easier to remove in the future (should you decide to rain hell on yourself again by rebuilding your car!)

and when you are trying to knock the pins out, remember to put a jack with a suitable rag or similar on it near the back end of the door & raise it up slightly, because when the pins sag, they wear oddly, and look like a small camshaft, and you need to compensate for this wear. if you don't, you could be belting it all day with no joy.

my old next door neighbour gave me the proper tool for removing them he nicked it when he worked at renault has a long bolt thing that goes through the centre of the pins then a metal bar with a grove you put on the end of the bolt then you hit it with a big hammer and bingo out they come

Proper tool is sh!t imo. Use the bonnet stay or an old screwdriver etc. If you don't want the doors then angle grinder FTW.

As for replacing the pins, use nuts and bolts!
