i had a metro gta and let all the fluid out the suspension, handled a lot better and was no more uncomfortable than a nova , when i put it in for an mot the guy had to put some fluid back in as he couldn't get into the arches to check my seat belt mounting points

A corsa is just a corsa..

I hate corsa b's but it is nice to see a clean and tastefully modified one as most are chaved up but I don't think they'll have the same folllowing as Novas, alot of the corsa owners I know wish they could find a nova instead

Agreed with some comments though, I've seen it mentioned on here before too! lol

limp, there is a swarm of them round here... mostly metallic blue or green, with kensington badging.. they've allegedly all got 1800s in them, but i think they are all 1.1... they usually paint the steelies some flourescent colour.. one passed my house & it had an argos backbox, he changed gear, it farted & then backfired, i haven't laughed so much in the street for years

Andy

lol. Aye, the ghey Rover 100's. That Kensington colour is nasty! I guess they've all moved to Leicster then. You can keep them! lol

Older Metro's look quite good these days IMO. I keep seeing a white MG and thankfully it isn't slammed within an inch of it's life thanks to empty Hydragas suspension. :)

nobody wants to steal them any more...

back in 1992, thousands were nicked as they were the easiest cars to nick...

Me and Joff saw a suffix X reg metro city-X the other day to which we were both like 'ooh cool' lol

And every now and then in summer there is a silvery-blue (i think as its been a while since i last saw it) MG 1300 kicking about, it has a safety devices cage in it and a set of four cibie oscars on the front, and has those odd wheels that look like a heat-sink on it too, looks well cool imo, if/when i see it again ill try to get a pic:thumb:

They were, rumour has it they're all stolen recovered because they weren't fast enough to get away from the police on bicyles lol

i was living in oxford in the days of 'hotting' the stolen car shows in the blackbird leys estate that were even on the telly news......

every recovery yard had dozens of metros in at any one time... apparently aspiring car theives had to nick a load of metros to prove they could do it properly, then they had to nick a load of maestros & montegos, then they moved on to being taught how to nick the good stuff.

remember, the rover factory was in oxford so every other car was a rover group model on family discount

Ugh, its people like you that bring the Corsa generation down whereas I am an outstanding owner.

One skirt on the car, towing eye cover on the rear hanging off, every panel dented. Exhaust blowing, no rear seats, different coloured door cards, both incomplete and the grill missing with matching bonnet dent from hitting traffic cones.

pmsl @ removing the springs.

TBH, the hardcore way to do it is to leave the springs in and remove the shocks. Now THATS pimpin'!

Dod
06-06-10, 10:22 PM
Try cornering fast shockless.

We had an 88 Madza 626 Coupe with 4x3" Timber as one rear shock. It was used as a "Stager" or as some would discribe, illegal forestry race car. It handled perfectly.

LMAO!!

When i had to get the car in and out of the garage to work on it where i used to live, I got to a point where I had to put the car away but the beam was off, so i just slung it on and bunged the springs in.

Bouncy? It bounced so high on the third rebound the springs both pinged out and it smashed down so hard I actually bit my tongue lol
