you dont want to worry bout that!!!!!!!

shouldnt think so its only the same as gettin a bolt on etc, it just lets you get more air in..... prob might use more when you boot it but not much difference

if your car is a carb model not injection exactly the same amount of fuel will be squirted in regardless unless you make further setup changes to the carb.

Though if you get too much air in, it'll affect the fuel to air mixture and your car will run a bit lean. So then you would have to increase the fuelling too.

But i'm sure it will all LOOK very nice once done.

swiss cheese!

if yer gonna drill holes, do it on the underside of the air box and outside the filter (not inside it).

Some insurance firms see drilling holes as a mod and therefore you should declare it - prob wont make the slightest bit of difference to the premium and your gains will be minimal.

You may get a little more noise from the engine but thats about it.

Doing it underside will also make the holes "discreet" although you will prob be sucking in warm air from the engine - really you need cold dense air - this is only really achievable by using an after market filter system that takes a feed from the front of the car and the air is protected from the heat of the engine by shielding. Even the bolt on systems will suck a little warm air - hence the bonnet vents people use - direct cold air right onto the filter - bummer though when its v cold = iced up jets in the carb!
