Corgi/Vanguards are bringing out a Northumbria Police model Nova in september

Northumbria is my local force and I couldn't remember any Police Novas growing up so I stuck Northumbria Police Nova into google and here is a car with a similar reg to the model

Sadly

01 11 1998 Date of First Registration 13 04 1987 Year of Manufacture 1987 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 993CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour WHITE Vehicle Type Approval

and the model

Date of Liability 01 05 1992 Date of First Registration 14 08 1986 Year of Manufacture 1986 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 993CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour WHITE

No wonder the traffic boys needed Cosworths if the regular plod only had 1.0 Novas! I'm guessing that probably D1183TVK - D196TVK will all be 1.0 Novas in white and ex police cars. Probably driving around (unlikely though) with a cheep after market sunroof in and sold to unsuspecting members of the public by a local dealer who used to sell all the cop cars (jack ford)

Jack Ford was neveer what it could have been IMO. I wanted it to be like Mr Gestapo's on the Blue bros. lol

Awesome little model though. I think I can remember Northumbria having Metro's? lol. Then it seems to jump (in my mind) to mk4 Fiesta's FFS. lol

Nice to see Northumbria plod getting some model based recognition for once. :)

I remember a lad I knew buying a Cavalier GSI2000 from them, due to being a police car they said if they engine blew they'd replace it, basicly the warranty. Needless to say he managed to blow it and it then had a healthy new exchange XE fitted
