how much better is the 1300 SR camshaft over a 1200?? worth changing?

well, if it is a used one, then it will do very little, if nothing.......

if it is new, it might make 1 or 2 hp...

basically, you won't notice it.

apparently a magazine got 5bhp from one a few years back in a 1.2. i've swaped one into mine but i'm yet to see it on the road (long story) i also replaced all the rockers (think of wear, every little helps)

just after a cheap/secondhand uprated camshaft really and i have a 1300 so would have just used that if it was going to see decent gains but sounds like a waste of time. will wait for a kent ast1 or maybe ast2

wait till you fit the 13/1400 engine, then stick the cam in.....

1300 lift is 6.05 mill 1200cc is 5.36 i think done qwote me on it a gd 1400 cam is 7 mill lift but that on carb version injection ones not verry gd but what lift u gain with 1400 u losse on duroation to the 1300 cam dont put a 1.6 cam in as there worse than a 1200 cam lift i would say too skim ur head while it of 40 or 60 tho and u c a big diffrence with the car power

who ever said more lift is what you need on a cam??? it is an art form to create a camshaft and the simple truth is that tuning a 1.2 simply isn't worth the money.

the 1200 is so good on short track ovals because its a spec engine isn't it???

a 1300 has 20hp more as std over a 1.2, and they respond to head work then big cams.. the 1.2 is a revvy engine, but will never be as good as a 1.3
