Rang round quite a few specialists today for a quote on the Astra 888, what a boring job!
Well I have to say it was a pleasure to deal with Sky and they came up with one of the best quotes so went with them. Staff were freindly and spoke to a nice lady that could speak really fast when going throught the boring stufflol(Prob a good thing:d). Hopefully will have a trouble free year or possibly more with them unlike the cowboys that are Flux!
Just waiting for the paperwork to come through which I hope is all OK then can get the 888 taxed and out of storage:d
Thanks:thumb:

Did you end up getting a agreed value policy for your Sport Rich ?

Yeah, did it through RH insurance. Got an agreed of £6k all for £120 and that was without using my NCB as I needed them for my Astra policy

I might give them a call as both mine and the mrs's cars are up for renewal, anyone claimed through them yet?

I cant i get free calls after 4pm and tbh it shouldnt matter, i did want a quote for my mrs but he had already hung up before i had chance to ask.

There open til 6 not like i phoned up with 5 minutes to spare! Could of had 2 cars insured if he had been intrested!

Ben,

this isn't good, I'm sitting here working at past 6pm, I expect my colleagues to be able to provide a fantastic service all the way up until when they leave.

Would you mind sending me a PM with your name and postcode so I can look into this and speak to the sales manager? I work very closely with my sales team so I want to nip this in the bud.

Thanks and my sincere apologies you have had a bad experience when calling us.

Hi Ben,

thanks for the PM.

The chap you spoke to (Danny) actually finished working here yesterday, it was his last day after working his notice.

To be fair he was a very good employee but I think the fact it was his last day, coupled with the fact it late on in the day he was indeed disinterested.

I can only really apologise for this.

Danny did know his stuff so I will assume that we cannot compete with the rate you have already had but if you wish to give us another try then feel free to let me know your contact number and I will arrange a call back for you?

Thanks

Thanks for the offer and help Olly, but as said you were nearly £150 more than my best quote and £40-50 more than Directline and Aviva.

Any reason why your quotes are silly expensive this year? I was with you last year with a 2.0 16v nova all declaired, this then swapped to the one off seicento 2.0 16v, and then back to a 2.0 nova.... I paid around £380 plus the admin fees for the swapping over, which is understandable.....

I tried a quote with you on a car doing around 5000 miles less a year, 6 years no claims, and you gave me a quote of £560... (corsa XE with brake + suspension upgrades, alarm and stripped interior) Limited mileage of 2k a year...

Just didnt understand why the massive increase when ive gained yet another year of unprotected no claims with you.

Other than that i cant fault the service
