F28 and speedo?

I didn't want to spam the cav turbo for sale thread but it says electrical for speedo and lee h pointed out this works of the abs sensors.
I have a mechanical drive f28 so can I use a vss from a 1.2 spi nova to drive gsi 6 dial clocks and use the electrical wires to run epas, and do I remember someone saying I need the f20 speedo drive fitted into the f28?

You need to split the gearbox and replace the blue speedo drive on the diff with a black one out of an F16 or F20.

Cool I have a f20 with a LSD but I'm building a let up and want to use the f28 so at the end up I want a f28 with f20 speedo ring with LSD running equal shafts with cable drive speedo and vss to run epas,
is there any way to run a speedo in a nova off an electric f28? I was offered a electric box but if it's no use I don't want to waste money.

So if you use an electronic f28 on a Nova you won't have a speedo?

That's what I don't know? The one I have is defo cable driven, I'm asking these things so I don't build a box I can't use lol

There is no way I know of running a normal Nova speedo with electric box. You can fit the half with the speedo drive hole in off a mechanical box though if you have a blown up one lying around.

Right, so I need to buy:

Mechanical F28 box
Transducer and cable to replace my speedo cable

A speedo cable or/and transducer can be use on a mechanical gearbox but as Lee said there is no way of running a speedo or a electronic F28 as the speedo runs of the abs sensor in the Cav/Cali, this is why there is always such a big difference in price when these boxes come up for sale
