I believe the accepted practice is to fly tip the white goods with refrigerant etc in, because it costs to have it taken away... so park the corsa somewhere and dont go back lol

Only if you are a business.... if you happen to accidentally let it go as a rank amateur then its 'fine' ;)
wear some protective gloves, if the dye has been added to the system to check for leaks it can stain your skin,
what are you doing to the air con ??????????

7ova is right mate, can also be very high pressure (like 300- 600bar),... you will have to get a profession to vac it out and put the new gas in to :)
removing the full system?

Yep, removing the lot. Have no interest in re-gassing it.
about a year ago i had to go on a air con course for work
there's new reg's which means you have to pass a on line exam
not to work on an air con system but just to handle the gas.
What car is it bud? I presume some vauxhall ****e by your posts around the forums.

only trying to help!!!!!!!!!!!
get a tyre valve removal tool, take the cap off the low side, unscrew the valve (using gloves) and **** off for a cuppa for 10 mins, then do the high just to check.
so, everybody who has had a crash in an air con car is most likely going to get prosecuted for dumping toxic gas & and also be likely to die horribly...... i think not...
I havnt seen cars lose the aircon after being crashed? Mine didnt?!
My tigra has a leak, but its of the fluid.

refrigerant gas condenses to a liquid....... its the transition from gas to liquid & liquid to gas that cools stuff
pick axe through the AC rad :)
i once explained it to my sis as "a fridge with the door open" she understood that.....
did she drive with the lights on too?
did it smell of a half onion?
