Right, just thought i would ask to see who rates what..

For a start Ive had Tokyo's before, think they were T1s's and i know they were amazing! secondly Ive used had Yoko A359's back a few years so, i know the T1's's peed all over the Yoko's back then, but what about now...??

http://www.blackcircles.com/order/tyres/search

So I'm down to 3.

Yoko S drive...

Toyo T1R's

Or

Kumho KU31's

All advise welcome, but would love to here what owners of the Yoko's think.

Been told Yoko's are no longer much cop, I have Bridgestones on the Sport which I am very happy with and get a good review.

Guess i should add, these are for my XE track car (EST 180bhp) 15" Wheels.

Yeah i liked Yoko's in dry, but there like soap in the wet, though I'm sure some one on here ratted there pradas *sp.

Goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3 I run then on the audi and rate them highly for dry and wet grip the down side is price and availability, cheapest I could get was £113 per tyre delivered from overseas but that's a 225/40/18. NOV4-SPORT (iain) has the same tyre on his sport on 15" iirc as him aswell.

I have heard good things about Goodyear F1's. Might have to change to them on the 888 as the Michelins have cracked badly with age(As Michelins do!) and the Pilot Sport 2's are horrendously priced even at cost price through work!

You get different ones so make sure it's the Gsd3 tread pattern.

that's where I got mine, they came in through holland 3 days after ordering with no hidden costs and the price included postage, very impressed with the service, oh and online tracking of your tyre too.

KU31's were on mine and they're awesome, awesome tyres. Toss-1R's tried to kill me once, so people can rave about them all they like but I think they're utter utter crap. Have heard good things about the A539's in terms of them holding their shape better than R888's due to a stiffer sidewall, but this was from skittle who obviously sells them so :p

I have ended up putting Toyo T1S or T1R's on all my cars over the years and rate them excellent for the price in wet or dry. Only downside is they wear quite quick but at the price they are not such a problem.

Had Yoko AVS Sports and A539's and thought they were ok as well but dearer than Toyos. The Uniroyal Rainsports I had were terrible.

i have kh31s on my v6 calibra and cant fault them

used to run r888s on my 3.0i capri in retro 205/60/13 size lol but they were brilliand had never driven a capri that could go round corners in the wet without backing off till i put r888s on

kH31's are dire ime, side wall akin to toyo T1 stuff :(

but KU31's are pure epicness!!!!
I have KU31's up front and Marshal KH35's on the rear. Same rubber, just a different tread pattern. Kumho and Marshal are the same company :)

Eagle F1's used to be great, but now they seem to have gone downhill :(

conti rainsports are good but I think they have been dicontinued.

I work in a tyre shop.

yoko s-drive's are pure ****e, kumho's seem good for the money
toyo t1r good in the dry dont like them in the wet, wore out to quick

eagle f1 gsd3 is the tyre to have

what are you looking for performance or best value for money

Both performance in dry/wet and good value, TBH i think Goodyear's out the window as there almost double the price of any they others!

i've had toyo T1R's on the astra, and was very impressed with them, excellent grip wet or dry, now i've got yoko parada spec 2's on the corsa, which seem ok in the dry, but a bit unstable in the wet. but then again, they aint even scrubbed in yet so will probably improve, but it might just be cos they are on a corsa  lol
