Peice of 2 or 3mm thick steel/stainless cut to exact same shape as the gasket using the same bolt hole positions. Done.

Dont forget to put the OE gasket on and THEN put your new blanking plate on thought ;)

arent the spi heads a square port design as the mpis are round?
unless your having the head port matched.

You want to block off the small hole in the back of the head?

If so then what I did was hammer in a copper drift (tapered end) then cut then end off. The inlet will press up against it, it's going no-where.

Thread the hole, wind in a bolt & cut it off.

Or as I did years ago on my E16SE, make a blank plate, use a gasket. Simples.

egr valves are horrible little things lol that do nothing but cause problems.

so, having read this thread again, and the fact that i've owned an E16se since 1992, what actual gains does it give by blanking it, or is it simply to get rid of it....?????????????

EGR only throws hot exhaust gasses back in the inlet, not good for performance, makes no difference on economy either.

its ment to make it pick up a lot quicker.Better fuel efficiancy and it makes it pull smoothly.
you could just clean it as they fills with carbon
