thats what i thought any jen on how they work on these also it doesnt stall at junctions or anything like you would exspect and the light is on but when i fault coded it it came up as lambas has a massive flat spot you feel it cback off at about 3.5k changes note then pics up again near 6 would this have anything to do with the lack of a vss?

I think on a veccy, the VSS signal is taken from the ABS system.

The V6 is known for its midrange flatspot, unless its obviously down on power. I cant see the VSS issue contributing to that however.

its defenatly down its not like it goes flat you physicly feel and hear it back down then kick back in and its mainly in the higher gears when it takes a little longer to pull through the revs

if it takes it of the abs it defenatly isnt wired in as it has no abs lol

I fig'd the van wouldnt have ABS mate.

All timing marks on? Has it got a cat?

sounds like lambda fault to me, poor fuelling and taking a base value from the ecu

Ste's has a mahoosive flat spot, we have erm, compared his to my vectra and with his being in a lighter shell in theory he shouldve had power to weight yet i had to back off as i nearly went up the back of him lol

If you can Ste, try the other lambda and see if that does anything to it:thumb:

The Vss is the speedo drive like in an SPi Nova,2 wires blue and red and a brown earth. That wont have anything to do with the flatspot though

would the lamba on it cause it to hold back then kick you in the seat though?

I didnt put a VSS into Jack's and its fine.

Has it had a useless aftermarket chip installed?

possably the guy i got it off claimed it had but untill i see it for myself i usualy treat them as standard until i can prove otherwise it does rev to 8 k though? but there is no signs of scratch marks ect on the ecu to make it apear as its ever been open

Ive seen really cheap chips that have seriously bad maps. Its a possibility. Try another ECU on it (if its not too much hassle IE if its running a chip key)

check ya vac pipes to the mani as they can do this when perished. its to do with the throttle flaps in the end.
