could be a changed door with a new decal as the mirrors look mk4, iirc mk3 and mk4 doors look very similar if not the same.

mk3 and 4 doors are practically identical, but the mk4 doors are more curved, looking at it, id say that is a mk4 door

I've gone off it, its logged as a 1300 but has the correct RS Stuff though.

Reshelled 1600i then?

Friend of mine had a Q plated Mk1 RST that had been reshelled into a 1600i, still fetched good money when he sold it.

Yeah but it'll not have the Alu Crossmember on it and will have lost its origionality. Its just ruined the whole thing for me.

I'm now on the look out for a (any) Mk3 or 4 Escort, be it XR3, XR3i or RS model. I got bitten by the bug again.

Shame you missed out on the Mk1 1300 Escort that sold on eBay on Monday for £2600 then ;) was only in the Isle of Man aswell!
