In my Nova when going round sharp bends fuel doesn't reach the engine because I've got a carb tank.

Option 1: Swirl pot

Option 2: injection tank

If I do get an injection tank is there a specific model I have to get a tank from so I can keep my external pump?

Jus get a GTE/GSi tank as they run external pump anyway...

Do lower injection models run internal pump? If so, can they be adapted to run external?

the tanks with internal pumps can be converted mate as i did it when i first put a nova gsi motor in my old corsa required a short lenth of stainless pipe and a tiny bit of welding so it can be done if thats the only option you have but if you can get a gsi tank easy enough i would just go for that option.
