Enlarged TB Xe/Let - Noticable difference?

I've seen a few of these for sale recently claiming good gains, obviously ebay sellers are going to exaggerate slightly but just wondered what are peoples experiences? Can 4mm make that much difference? Iirc Courtnay used to sell these for nearly £250 pound and wondered if it was money well spent buying a cheaper one?

you should see a lift in low down torque and high rpm power but to be fair it would be best set up using a wideband and an adjustable fuel reg or it could just run a little lean and lose power.
