well lads havent been on her much lately all my time taken up on my new project. bought this 200 cheap with the bearings gone. heres a few pics of progress
heres how she started

Umm jap fail Lee, iirc thats a CA18DET iirc, a few of my mates have jap cars and a few S13's so i knows from them lol

I have just been informed of this, if its an import then it could be an SR20DET but if its a uk spec one then its a CA18DET :roll:



Although having said that its got uk spec rear lights and has 1.8 turbo written on the back panel so looks like im correct :p

I just looked it up as I was intrigued and here: http://www.200sx.org/faq_1.html about halfway down the page, has the differences in markets, and states UK received the SR20DET slightly later in the s13's life, same as Japan, which seems to be backed up by wikipedia, pretty sure a mate at work had a UK spec S13 which had an SR20DET in it, but not 100% as I only ever saw it with an RB25DET in.

Ahh well everydays a school day as i thought the SR20 didnt come into them untill the S14 and S14a :eek:

But i still refer to my previous comment of


it says 1.8 turbo on the back panel so it looks like im right

I'd always thought they were SR20 only lol the CA18 bit is all new to me :p

200sx is 1.8. and english 180sx is 2.0 and jap

no s13 in england got a 2.0!
