It started like this a few months back when we attacked it with a socket set and an XE.....

Any comments welcome, oh and for the record the 16" Speedline Mistrals she is wearing, only cost him £13 from gaybay, he has had them powdercoated and wrapped in new rubber but still, jammy git haha!

The 'MSD' veccy is the GSi
Supertourers are a different beast and were 250 ecowrecks and 250 X25XE's
sweet.

Msd is the supertouring isnt it?
Msd is the supertouring isnt it?
Nope, the SRi's were given fussier cams, different bumpers and interiors by MSD and became the GSi

They are. This is/was an ST hence the title...

His thinking is thats the ST that vauxhall shouldve built, as on a P plate they were still fitting the XE into cars so why didnt the tourer get one?
Looks nice, shame the rear screen stickers & bass box let it down tho :(
And that tow strap needs some velcro strappage too ;)
EDIT: And the rear end needs a proper strip :thumb: an bonnet centre painting like every other Vectra lol lol

P plate XE'd cars??
EDIT: doh. the Cally!!!
Well he wants the look but cant be without his tunes tbf Mike, i think its a damned good car, was a bit 'mmm' when he said he was stripping it out but it doesnt work too badly, he has just had the roof 'urban cammo' wrapped and it doesnt look too bad in all fairness, if anyone is going to modded nationals at weekend it will be there if you want a nosey!
And Pete :p
Silly boy, the P plate mars bar as you edited in lol
Ditch the gay stickers, sort out the gash paint on the bumper and fit a 183V6 and it will be better.
Calibra was using ecotec by P plate was it not?

thats what I thought Jack.
Thought the M reg SE2's were the last of the XE's
Lol its his car and he likes stickers so meh it be right lol
I think he leaving the XE in there so unless he sells it then possibly a let will be the natural progression, he has had a load of V6 vectras and wanted to do something that noone (apart from Joff) has done, tis the first XE'd SuperTourer anyways!
Edit dunno about the P reg XE'd mars bars ive seen one in a scrappy and the wondows that werent smashed has P reg plates etched on them but they couldve been replaced glass from another car though!
thats what I thought Jack.

thats correct

Was just going to say looks well nice. Then i read that and now think.Ruined:tard:
Meh i could be wrong then, still agree with him though, they shouldve fitted the XE and not the eco in the 2.0 ones!

st200 and gsi were msd all were v6 got cams interior exhaust bumbers wheels and in case of the st200 ap 4pots and a few other little bits

Cheers Dod, took us a lot of work to do it in the end as it was one of those where everything that could go wrong, did lol
Rich got it bang on as he knows more about vecs than i do cheers bud:thumb:
How'd it fit, straight onto the ST's engine mounts?
blue_peg_16v
27-05-10, 11:05 PM
ecorec has same mounting points as xe so you can use the standard mounts
Yeah mounts were exactly the same, we just had wiring issues as our loom was fooked but we didnt know this, could do with a torque mount welding on as the vectra has one but the XE does not, it clunks when you floor it but we will get to that one eventually lol
Even if it does clunk, its still better than an Ecowreak.

is that the damper at the back of the block if so i was a thread were someone fitted a let and had a bracket that bolted to the inlet and that to stop the problem
Aye lol
There is another lad local to me, he has a vectra B with a let in it, if youve ever seen pics of vectras at the shows his is the green one with white chequred touring car'esque graphics all over it and has looked the same since early 2000's lol

nah was a red one i saw

Ummm, nope cos the vec ecu lives in the scuttle panel under a big rubber boot, there just wasnt quite enough, its nigh on in situ but he has sealed up that section of the scuttle and taped up the vent holes on that side to make sure, yellow tape to keep to the engine bays theme lol

lol i like the st vectra its well nice!! just the other one has been two barryd up for me lol
In fairness though the other one was a poverty spec 1.8 with steelies and wheeltrims about ten years ago, its not to everyones tastes but apart from the front bumper its just a touring car-esque veccy with a let so its not that barry tbh!
Steels are WIN on some cars though.....
