brake and indicator lights

i noticed when my l/h indicator is on and i braked the indicator stoped til i took my foot off the brake.fiddled around with the brake swith on the pedal it stopped now the indicator flashes very dimly and the brake light flashes dimly as well any 1 got any ideas????

youve got a short - bad earth most prob or water in the electrics.

Check the earth in the boot, the connectors in the rear light clusters and the replay thats usually in one of the rear arches.

also check the switch attached to the brake pedal

I would say 99% sure that it is an earth fault. Check your clusters for bare wires etc etc and all eaths to the bodywork.

Could be a flat battery. Something similar happened to me when I hadn't run my car for a few weeks in the cold. Give your battery a good charge, or perhaps even replace it if it's the original battery from the car.
