head gasket info

my mates head gasket has gone on his corsa c. How much of a job is it to do on a 1.2 c?
Ive done a rocker gasket on my 1.2 nova before and was quite easy.
Just wanna no if its basically the same principle...

Its a big job to be honest. You will need to remove the timing chain and then you need special tools to lock the crank and cams to refit the chain and get the cam sensor trigger in the right place.

My girlfriends car had a similar issue and in the end I replaced the engine instead as it worked out about the same price and was a lot less hassle.
