The following memo was pinned to my notice board at work.

Gents,

One of my environmental vehicles has just been stopped by an unmarked police hgv.

Volvo fh12 globetrotter
White bodywork with red chassis
The header above the windscreen has the globetrotter logo on it.

This vehicle is unrestricted and therefore very quick in its approach to any hgv.
There are two police occupants; the passenger has a hand held video camera.

The vehicle was stopped on the m5 between jct 18 / 19

This should be a warning to all drivers. The following were checked.

Seat belts
Breathalysed
Tacho
Windscreen obstructions.

That truck was on the 'West tonight news' on tv last week.

It's so they can catch truckers doing stuff they shouldn't.
Apparently they caught loads on phones and on with a camping stove on the go in his cab lol lol lol

tbh that illegal in its own right as every hgv should be restricted and there breaking the law by having it unrestricted
there are a good few exemption to the speed limiter rule, army, navy, fire and police can be exempt under certain surcumstances but still have to abide by the limits imposed by the manufacturor and things like speed ratings on tyres etc.

That truck was on the 'West tonight news' on tv last week.
I remember seeing that. TBH the truck stuck out like a sore thumb, white as a dove with no company markings, no load etc.

I spotted a Lolvo traffic car coming down the M5 whilst I was pootling home from the National weekend on Monday - came on around Weston, screamed down the outside lane til he was literally a metre off the bumper of the car in front, essentially pushed it out the way, then screamed off again. We were in the inside lane doing 68-70, and he stonked past us. No blues or anything. If we were in Dorset I'd have gotten Hayley to take the plate and dob him in at work lol

prime exammple mate of mine stoped a few weeks ago for his break and had an hours kip when he woke the truck wouldnt start and fuel gage was reading empty jumped out had a look the jippos had put a pic axe through his tank and had every drop of diesel and left him nackered miles away from home
where were the police?
they didnt even go out to him!
and they had nearly 500 quid in diesel (conti tank)

our 8wheeler got held up in aberystwyth this morning by the police....

there had been a report of a blue lorry with a crane hitting another lorry on the A44. so the local coppers thought 'JEWSONS' and off they went.... none of jewsons trucks had been out, so they went all over our wagon unloading in jewsons yard, looking for signs of an accident.... now..... i'm no detective, but if you ask any lorry driver to describe another lorry thats been in an accident with them, they will tell you make, model, type, colour, name down the side, what sort of wheels, what it was carrying etc.... no driver in his right mind just says it was blue with a crane....... so they let him go after an hour
