Been looking at getting a new clutch for my Sport,

Can anyone recommend me one to get ?

Engine has a Kent ast2 cam fitted, a 4 branch, stainless exhaust system and a Irmscher injection kit.

In the future it will have my other cylinder head on which has 1mm oversized inlet and exhaust valves, and a Rotrex charger so I want the clutch to be able to handle this power.

Thanks in advance Edd.

My old 1300 mate 120BHP and ran standard clutch to the ring twice. Should be fine!

F13??? Its bigger than the F10 one iirc so will handle more torque.
You know my turbo's havent ever suffered. I've ran EBC clutches in the past, seem fine.

Helix if you want to spend big bucks, if not a decent quality part by Sachs etc is best. Genuine if you can find one, I thinks they are Sachs though

I think you would need the larger flywheel to match which wont fit the 1300 block. F13 boxes will fit but using an F10 clutch & fly

I know Edds got a 1600 flywheel, but I guess you are saying the bolt pattern on the crank wont match?

Probably will but it does not mate up to the starter motor. I Have already tried it as I had a brand new GSi flywheel.

I always think Black diamond are like G-MAX. You dont ever see their logo stickered on a race car........

You mean a Vauxhall dealer will still sell Nova parts? Thats a rarity these days, usually get an intake of breath through the teeth then those wonderful words 'sorry thats NLS'!

I have a sach paddle clutch in my 1300 "1400 short stroke conversion pistons in ;)" and I can't fault it. But as said earlier if you can afford helix then their s**t hot apparently. Hockley sells helix to :)

I'm quite surprised what he can get, he's been VERY helpful tbh.

He's been getting alot of stuff from Germany, the only thing that he's been having trouble with is the later black door handles and check straps.

Hopefully he will be sorting that this week. He used to own a Nova in '86 so that helps a little I think. I know him quite well, but I do think that if I didn't I would end up with the answer of 'NLS' for most stuff.

One my best friends is parts in vauxhall. Everytime I ask for something it's NLS I don't think he even bothers looking lol

Although he always seems to find stuff for Offplot lol

I think alot of parts advisors do that when they here the word 'nova' lol

the chap down my local dealer got told from the off about how much I would be down there whilst building the Sport, so it's not like I didn't warn him lol

My local dealers are a waste of time, I use a guy down south that specialises in obsolete parts. He can get me pretty much anything.

there is a bloke at Martin Rumble in hinckley who is excellent, and if there is a number, he'll sniff it out. he has never been any trouble..

my 1400 'special' ran the stock factory fit 1200 clutch for years (50+k), and i sold it on with the clutch in fine condition maybe i'm light on clutches, as i've never had one go & i am not exactly renowned for slow & steady motoring.
