VIN REMOVAL

ok not sure so thought i'd ask what is the stance on removing a vin plate for a respray? is it allowed an can you just re-rivit it back on afterwards?

Just do it! Take it off and put it back on liek you said. Shouldn't see there being any problems. What if you had a crash and need a new front end? They would have to take it off then! Or paint over it! :lol:

yeah you can remove it as long as its attached to the car "somewhere".

Its usually located (on most cars) on the bulkhead or slam panel.

although it wud luk dodgy, i think the law stands u dont need it on the car, but you DO NEED TO KEEP IT DO NOT DESTROY IT

as the VIN number is by the seat on the chasi..........
