That car is beautiful! I love v8s but 4 of them! That gets me going!
I think its 4 v12s Packard as used on the p51 Mustang on miss america 10. If your looking for multiple engine crazyness google tractor pulling. The dutch and Americans on the unlimited tractorsas have 4 helicopter jet engines on them.

the merlin was used in the majority of P51's, but the early ones used a different make of engine & were crap... an RAF pilot tested one & told them it was great, but needed a merlin, and they took him seriously.......
the original snoopy merlin powered tractor puller actually ran a packard built under licence engine
most working merlins around today are packards to some extent as they still make parts in the US for them whereas you cant get much for a 'real' merlin here. Still sounds sexual though :)
