Just a random thread to let you all know I have finally finished school lol

Today was my final day of school, I still have to go in for exmas and the lessons I have exams in (which is english, maths and science).

It was a awesome day and a day ive been waiting for ages to come lol

Ive completed all my exams in other subjects, and im starting my college placement in september which I cant wait for :d

Im currently the process of searching for an apprenticeship atm aswell, which isn't easy

Im kind of excited about going into the 'real world' but I know its going to be different and harder than im expecting and used to lol

I remember my last day at school. I pushed my CDT teacher down a flight of stairs to pay the little tit back for seven years of grief.

I think the sweet spot for me was last year of college... old enough to drink, drive (not at the same time lol) and not have any real worries

It's not so much the actual school I miss (though we had some laughs)..

It's missing the people I haven't seen since 1983!!!

And of course the ones I do see who have obviously forgotten me (or choose tolol)...

Happy days..

Anyway, welcome to the 'real' world!

You shouldn't have finished school yet since your mental age is that of a 3-5 year oldlol

You'll miss it one day honestly ;)

Yea tbh I dont mind school, I dont really like it, but obv my friends are all from school and some of the best memories with my mates are from school and are probs some of the best days and years of my life so far and I hope to keep in touch with all/most of them which will be ok for probs the rest of this year maybe next year, but harder when hopefully all/most of us will be in work!!

Im confiedent ive done fairly well in the exams and courses ive already completed and im confident I will do well in the ones I still have left, however there is always part of me saying I could have done more and not messed around as much lol

But you live by your mistakes I suppose and I dont really regret anything/much that ive done and im happy with how well ive done so far and how well I hope to acheiev in my exams over the next couple of weeks :thumb:

Spot on fella, the only bit of advice I would give is find something you like and stick at it (and maybe learn something else in your spare time so you have something to fall back on in tough times) or you could end up like me and work for the likes of Sainsburys, a good mate of mine often phones me up to tell me how much he has earned in that month and he usually gets taxed what I get paid

As said, you will miss it. Even though at the time i didnt enjoy it, well not the learning side of things anyway, i miss it loads. The only thing i remember on the last day was running away from all the teachers when they found out me and my mate filled the exam hall with maggots lol

I also dont stay in touch with anyone from school, a shame really as i had some really good mates. It sucks now though as i sometimes see the odd one coming into my work and whilst i serve them fuel i look outside and see what cars they are driving lol :(

I have got myself a place at college originally doing electronic instillation (basically to become an household. industrial electrician) but they have now changed the course and no longer offer just an electronics course (level 2), so I am now doing and electronics, refrigerastion and plumbing course at level 1, to which you go onto doing your level 2 onwards in the chosen subject from the level 1 course, so in a way its a better thing as I get to experience 3 different subjects.

I ideally want to be an electrician and my backup plan/ or another trade id like to go into would be auto electronics as I did my work experience with the local auto electrician and really enjoyed it and found it interesting.

Id like to get an apprenticeship with someone though but as of yet ive not found anything, as no one is looking for an apprentice  but if I cannot find one ill probs apply at somewhere like the local Morrisons or somewhere part time as its better than nothing at the end of the day :)

Lee, I wish we'd have done something stupid or to be remembered by but we didnt even know it was our last day until then called us into an assembly 10mins before end of day just to tell us to go home lol tbh I can see why they didn't tell us as it would have been crazy lol previous years have been bad when they have left so I hate to think what some of lads in our year would've done lol

I was so excited when i first left school, Then i started working 6 days a week and really wanted to go back lol i left at the end of 5th year so most of my mates stayed on. After a while you miss getting the crk at school and want to go back, Thankfully i started colledge when i should have been in 6th year and met new mates and decided it was better than school lol

lol i did the same! i got caught on the last day:wtf:

I hated school, i'd like to say i wish i did better, but the stack of certificates i acquired never were of any use in the real worldlol

and the best times of my life were when i finished school, if i had a option to go back, yeah i'd only do it if they offered me a decent wage, just for the fact i'd be out by 3:20 lol
