I produce underground porn in the back of my nova. But that sounds cool. And irresponsible.

Street racing's crap. Keep it on the track.

street racing is for people who cant drive well enough to race on a track IMO. Same as some who have road bikes. Bring it on the track and then see how fast you are!

theres street racing that the majority of people see which is cruisers and ged etc and then theres properly organised discreet stuff with limited numbers as me and ste may have been involved with at times.

I feel i must comment on this as i feel strongly about this at the moment. On tuesday night a friend of mine died in a fatal car crash in Macclesfield racing another mate. I do not believe no matter how well organised and in limited numbers can ever be classed as safe. Now i have lost a friend and it looks like the other mate is going to be sent to prison for causing death by dangerous driving. At the end of the day there actions have affected so many people fo just that one bragging right that so and so's car is faster than his you really have to ask yourself if its even worth owning a fast car. Very true, our roads arent built for it.

I have done as have a large percentage on here, it is also very easy to get carried away and do it. To solve this problem i am looking for a different car to drive round in to make myself slow down. the nova will be kept for the track.

Sorry to hear that Rick, that's not an easy thing to deal with. Dont let it put you off modding your car though!!!!

agree with Rick (who wouldnt!) - since my new engine was fitted been cruising about at 60 on the motorway and its amazing the speed people come up behind you and then fly by!!!

Its actually more enjoyable driving a little bit slower - more responsible too! You get to see the scenery, can brake easier without having to stand on the pedal and you only arrive at your destination about 10 minutes slower (average 30 miles or so at 60) if that.

You just add the extra time on. Have to say I feel totally destressed.

Saying that though - went to look at the house Im moving to soon today (being built at the moment) and the roads to get to it are like those you see on Rally programs! National Speed limit all windy and twisty with massive long straights which rise and fall! Bloody lethal. Got overtaken by a ruddy Landrover (Discovery Turbo beast) tanking it - he must have known the road coz I was taking it easy and still pooing meself!

Gonna have to get to know it though - will be driving it every day soon.

Some of you on here will possible know him, John you will as he used to go to the png meets and he is the one that brought your old gsi seats off me. His name is Mike Johnson and he was building a wide arched nova at the same time as lancy was building his. Rick

Rick i'm gutted for ya mate > i have never lost a friend, but know its gotta happen sooner or later.

Something really should be done about that sort of thing, MORE adverts on TV depicting terrible accidents and stuff like that one wher ethe little lad gets hit by a car, or the one where the lad hits back of mothers seat.
They should be allowed to show stuff thats really terrible if its gonna help save lives.

was on a retial park last week and these 2 guys were racing, not realising there's a speed bump half way down one guy swerved and missed it and other guy swerved and hit a post in ground, smashed his nova up, thought it was dead until week later he fixed it. but still, no need for it.
same retail park this nob of a corsa driver was speeding on it and i pulled out and he had
1. no lights on
2. speeding way to much!

he had to brake sharpely to not smash into me!

Pr!ck!

Dont do it, I'VE TOLD U!
