Do bike carbs use as much fuel as a set of webbers when you go for a spirited drive?

Yes infact probably more.

I paid £180 6 years ago for the manifold on mine from butt buggars. They take too long so go to Tom Reid ;)

yea id have thought they use abit off fuel!! and this was another problem my mate had he orderd his manifould as they took the piss with delivery he ended up going through and getting it himself in the end!!

Heard some bad reports on Bogg Brother's timing, I guess it's down to how much work they have on now that bike carb conversions have become so popular and they are the first name people suggest to get manifolds made.

I read that bike carbs can be more fuel efficient.

Fuel consumption can be pretty reasonable if it's all set up correctly.

I'm really really tempted to get carbs or bike carbs (wish I could afford throttle bodies) but obviously I would need management for bike carbs and it aint cheap

You don't have to have management at all for bike carbs - can run a dizzy just the same as with 40s. Or get megajolt for mappable ignition but that still isn't expensive compare to throttle bodies.

Wrong because if your running a c/x16xe you'll need management. ;)

Think what Al meant was that not ALL engines need MJ, he's an Arab remember, and only just speaks Englishlol

But the MJ isn't expensive, if you can fit it up yourself, it'll cost a little more than a new dizzy set up from H+H.
