Well i got this for Free, on a promise that i was to restore it instead of the pikeys or scrap men getting it.

i did have the intention of selling it but now ive decided to keep it and get rid of my mk1...

1.2L
120k Miles ",
very well looked after apart from the colour etc.
every repair has been done professionaly and have recipts to prove it all going from £5 up to £900
failed 1 MOT since the bloke has had it

Door have had a steel plate bolted onto it which im not happy about ",

Door have had some bolts or what ever they are replaced, it was stolen twice before so the bloke did it to prevent them robbing it...

So im keeping the mk2.....

so now it means i have to shift my mk1 so i have a some funds for this one

plans for this i dont know tbh... just a tidy up, exhaust,alloys,lower...

Mk2 exhaust is off my Mk1 and is being fitted tommorow after nats :)
and finish off t-cutting it so it looks half decent

Looks like a good base, Get the dodgy bits sorted, some cutting compound and it will shine again.

Reminds me of when i got my mk2.

How much is the receipt for the rivetted door fix? lol Doesn't look too bad, most of it's just cosmetics :)

Some nice rivet-work there!:)

Seriously though, the interior looks pretty clean and I'm sure a few hours of elbow grease and you'll have it looking half decent..

Nice one, free too, so it's all good :thumb:

Id chuck filler on them, then find some mint doors.

Yeah, im going to see if i can get the plates off and then put a skim of filler :) then await some new door lol
booked it in to get welded next week :)

You'll have to drill the heads off the rivets but god knows what else those cowboys have do to hold them on lol

ill take the door cards off on monday and see if they go through and bolted on behind.
if not then it will be a case of getting new doors

when i sell my mk1 then i might do, depending on how it comes up after a few days of t-cutting ;)

What's the condition of the rest of the doors as it might be better to have plates welded in then skimmed and repainted.

My words your gonna need a lot of t-cut for that. lol

no word of a lie but the rest of the doors are mint, no rust at the bottom or anything :) just a shame on the plates

Well if you know someone who can weld well then get those doors sorted IMO.

ive got it booked in to be looked at and if the bloke can weld it on the day then hes going to. im hoping he can :)

U'd be best off using a cutting compound and warm soay water on the paint mate t-cuts not abrasive enough to cut through the dull layer.

Mowgli is giving me some G3 so soon as i get that im going to give it a go with it and see the results :)

Yeah, well bought some window surrounds of Colin yesturday at Nats, so fit them today and fit exhaust, then start refurbin my alloys :)
+ take door cards off to check condition behind the riviting :)

will update with pics soon :)
