Are all spax shocks yellow? Mine are black and keep bottoming out on the front which makes a canny bang when going over potholes, the kit I have is VSX. They are also quite soft, I.E if you push on the wing you can bounce it up and down, although the backs are as stiff as you like.

My old spax were black
and they were the 'nitrogen' ones or something
they did the same fronts went spongy
and one of the rears siezed completely lol

These have been like this since the day they were fitted which is what I don't get, I think I got ripped off by someone selling dodgy kits on ebay :cry:

Black are fixed rate versions.
Yellow are adjustables.

i had black ones before,was the same as your saying,i got rid of them and got koni ones,which wasnt that good either,if you have got the money get a set of gaz coilovers

If they are bottoming out - the damping is either fecked (leaked) or the spring rate is too low - what engine is it? If its XE then get higher poundage springs etc
