my vote for the best engine ever is the 1.2 spi....................not


the merlin had a very important place in my childhood......and i don't mean the battle of britain.... there was a famous tractor puller in the late seventies called snoopy & it had a merlin boat spec engine.. it was spinetingling when it was revved up for a run & we were sat about 10 yards from it, no HSE in those days, we had some string to keep us back at a safe distance......
