I went up to a bloke house 6 months ago who owned a mk2 Nova "Fun" , he said he was going to get it done on the scrappage scheme but he missed out on his chance to do it. so hes left with it. i went looking for my f'in dog that ran off.. and came across his car again with a peice of paper under the window wiper saying on how "a young lad came up intested about the Nova and he was intrested in selling it now" bladdy blah,
What is it:
Mk2 Nova "Fun"
27k genuine miles (checked all paper work)
1.2L Alot of service history
All parts bought from Vauxhall with recipts
Body work is not in the best condition, its that red colour that fades,arches need a bit of attention,and rub strips and peeling off....
Reckon i should buy it? even if its to sell on or break for parts
Buy it if its cheap enough, might make a tidy sum on it if you can shift it ricky tick like.

when i last spoke to him, i said i was not willing to pay more than £100 for it, and he admitted it was worth no way near to that. so i doubt it would be more than £100

lol, the mother says that if i do buy it ill have 2 months to either do it up or get rid, as ive already got the other one there and shes not happy about it lol

Pending on price/condition,
If its a ton get it, even better if you get it for less it will be a bonus.
And if the scrap prices are the same where you live you physically will not lose money
you could (for example) buy it, do what you wanna do with it
and still weigh it in for more than a ton
I could get it done within 2 months but the only problem is, storing the car...
i have a feckin box trailer that ill need to get rid off so i can store the Nova there instead.

Go get it bought, give him £50 notes for it then pull it apart see how bad it is and maybe use it for a daily?

If he's desperate to seel it and even put a 'some lad come saw it, where is he?' sign on the car and he knows it's not worth more than a ton, go for it. Bodywork maybe tatty but no doubt the underside and all the important bits will be very clean.

went up and just spoke to the wife of the bloke who owns it, talking to here for about 20 mins or so, came to an agreement with her, she rang the hubby and im getting the car free of charge aslong as i promise to do it up before i sell it etc :) over the f'in moon

That paint will come up nicely again with some elbow grease. Cant complain though, a free car is a free car and it doesn't even look to be completely falling apart.

either way, you can't complain for free. although i would of paid a few hundred quid on a decent shell and start from there, but i havnt seen the condition of it so just ignore me.

yeah got it FOC with the intention of selling it on, but now ive looked around it and had it checked over by 2 mechanics i know, i reckon im keeping it, only got 2 small bits that need welding, and preferbly 2 new doors :)
