Its easy

take gear surround etc off mind the screw that sits under a flap at the bottom of the compartment thing, also take off the bottom shelves, theres screws holding them at the edges

take out glove box and dash guages, you'll need to remove all the black part of the dash, theres a screw behind the headlight switch (as in you take the switch out and its sat there) you need to be extremely careful or you may break the headlight switch! the hazard switch part can be left connected as it can be pushed through the dash

take the screws out that sit in the centre bottom of the dash and on the left and right edges of the dash

take out the two 10MM nuts, they both sit inside the dash at the top, look where the guages were and you should see it at the top, the other is in the same position but on the passenger side (hence taking out glove box)

the dash will pull out, before just yanking it take out any plugs still attached and the heater adjustments

Then refit another Mk2 dash. Don't fit a Mk1 dash, it will give you cancer!

if its the first time the dash has come out, on the car.
then you will have a nightmare removing the light switch on the right handside

and there is a screw under the left hand centre vent. pop it out and its hiding there.

if you pull the switch hard enough the screw will pull through the hole
just fit a washer to the screw when you refit it :thumb:
