i have been told i have an sr grill on me nova without the sr badge, its red with red slats as standard that arnte painted, is this a genuine sr grill??? how much they worth in good nick?

The grille is the same as any other MK2 Nova grille. The badge will come off as it is not part of it, although I remember reading recently that only MK1 SR's had the badge on the grille.

i mean could it be an original sr grill just with out the clip on badge as most grills have black slats standard, looky VVV

All MK2 grille's are the same, that just has painted slats.

Just a standard Mk2 grill with painted slats mate - Nothing to write a song then dance about!!!

I have an Irmscher badge on my grill...Doesn't make it an Irmscher grill

Use some common sense cheif!

They still did the SR on a mk2 but it was only the 1400, they dropped the 1300 and replaced it with the 1400 SRi, all mk2 grilles are the same and none had SR badges on them, unless the owner fitted a mk1 SR badge!

1400SR replaced the 1300SR, the SRi "replaced" the 1400SR, even though as said they were sold side by side (as said, Mike had a K plate SR)

Even if it was a 'genuine mk2 SR grille' which it aint because as said all mk2's have the same grille - it looks sh!t! Sort it out mate. :thumb:

Also agreed with the above, mk1 was 13SR, mk2 is available as 14SR and 14SRi. I had an early H plate mk2 14SR and a mate used to have a K plater in Breeze blue.

Just another example of cars that they couldn't shift at the time. So they end up being 'newer'. lol

Um mk1 came as 1300 and 1400 SR, and the mk2's were all 1400's 1400SR and 1400SRi

My old white mk2 1.4SR was an H plater and i know about three people who had K plate SR's :p

If you call it a GSi grille, its worth an extra tenner again above SR grille prices.
